Tim

Tim Hegg, M.Div., Th.M. – President / Instructor

Tim graduated from Cedarville University in 1973 with a Bachelor's Degree in Music and Bible, with a minor in Philosophy. He entered Northwest Baptist Seminary (Tacoma WA) in 1973, completing his M.Div. (summa cum laude) in 1976. He completed his Th.M. (summa cum laude) in 1978, also from NWBS. His Master's Thesis was titled: "The Abrahamic Covenant and the Covenant of Grant in the Ancient Near East". He is a member of ETS and SBL, and has contributed papers at the annual meetings of both societies. Since 1990, Tim has served as one of the Overseers at Beit Hallel in Tacoma, WA. He and his wife, Paulette, have four children and four grandchildren.
Rob

Rob Vanhoff, M.A. – Instructor

Rob graduated magna cum laude from the University of Washington in 2003 with a B.A. in Near Eastern Languages and Civilization and a minor in Music. In addition to concentrating on the Hebrew Bible and its interpretation in Jewish and Christian traditions, he studied Hebrew (Biblical, Rabbinic, Modern), Aramaic (Biblical, Targumic, Syriac), Greek, and Akkadian languages. Rob received a number of prestigious scholarships, including a Mary Gates Fellowship which funded a year of research on inscriptions from ancient Israel. In 2005 he completed a M.A. in Comparative Religion, also from the University of Washington. Papers read in connection with his M.A. degree are: "A Portion To Seven: Qohelet 11:2 and Sukkot in Rabbinic Literature" (read at UCLA); "Kaufman Koehler, Felix Adler, and the 'Jewish' Jesus: Two Views of the Historical Jesus in 19th Century Reform Judaism." Rob and his wife Jenny have two children of their own and are raising a third.

Ariel

Ariel Berkowitz, M.Div, - Instructor

Ariel has been an adjunct professor with IBEX (Israel Bible Exchange program) since 1995. His area of specialty is Jewish history, thought and culture. Ariel is also an instructor with Torah Resources International. He taught both full and part time at Israel College of Bible from 1992-2006. He and his wife D’vorah moved from the USA to Israel as citizens in 1992. They have four children and two grandchildren. Their family home is near Jerusalem.

Rod

Rod Graciano – Instructor

Since 1976 Rod has served as the director of Timothy Ministries, a Christian non-profit corporation, offering biblical teaching and other services. This interdenominational ministry is committed to the message of the gospel and places a high value on discipleship and teaching from the Word of God. Rod is passionate about the history of the ecclesia and has used this teaching venue to impress upon his students the lessons history teaches in regards to who God is and how He worked and is working through His people. We are honored to have Rod be a part of our teaching staff.

Gary

Gary Springer, B.S. – Administrator/Student Services

Gary graduated summa cum laude from Columbia Southern University with a B.S. in Business in 2010. He recently retired from 24 years of service in the United States Air Force, achieving the rank of Master Sergeant. He began his military career as an Avionics Technician, but spent the bulk of his service as an Air Force Recruiter. He is currently pursuing his M.A. in Biblical Studies. Gary brings to TRI a wealth of experience in administration as well as expertise in IT and Computer Technology. He and his wife, Angie, have two children and two grandchildren. Since 2004, Gary has served as one of the Overseers at Beit Hallel in Tacoma, WA.

Caleb

Caleb Hegg – Office Manager / Video & Audio Production

Caleb has managed the TorahResource office for the past four years and will continue to handle the distribution of class materials for TRI. He has completed five courses in Video & Audio Production from Pro Tools (an Apple certified training center) in Seattle, WA. Besides managing the office, Caleb will help Instructors prepare audio and video for the online classes they will be teaching.
